New Awards Announced for Eastwood Summer Classic 2024

It’s not quite March, but plans are already coming together for Eastwood’s annual car show this summer. The Eastwood Summer Classic 2024 will take place at the company’s headquarters in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 20. As always, the show will celebrate DIY car culture and will be open to car enthusiasts across all interests.

To ensure this year’s event is even more inviting to a greater mix of enthusiasts, additional awards have been added to the lineup. The show field arrangement will also be mildly reconfigured making judging for easier for the new roster of award categories. Eastwood’s own staff of car experts will perform judging duties for most of the awards. However, fellow show participants will choose their favorite for Best of Show as well as their favorite Eastwood employee vehicle.

Here is the lineup of awards to be judged and presented at the Eastwood Summer Classic 2024:

2024 Awards

  • Best Custom Rod (traditional hot rod, street rod, or custom build)
  • Best Muscle Car (American factory-built high-performance car)
  • Best Truck (pickup, Jeep, 4×4, van, SUV)
  • Best Antique (any pre-1946, non-custom)
  • Best American Classic (American car 1946 -1980, non-custom)
  • Best Import Classic (European, British, or Asian car 1946-1980, non-custom)
  • Best Next Gen Classic (Any make/model, 1980 or later, non-custom)
  • Best Exotic (Late-model high-performance exotic, i.e., Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Lotus, McLaren, Corvette, LFA, etc.)
  • Best Survivor
  • Best Exterior/Paint
  • Best Interior
  • Best Presentation/Display

The main show field will remain Eastwood’s lawn and front parking lot. However, the back lot will be the designated as the Next Gen and Exotic area. In addition to giving dedicated space to these “future collectibles” (some of which are already more than 40 years old), the back lot will get its own soundtrack.

“We know we can always count on a strong showing of custom cars from around the Pottstown area. That’s the beauty of being located here,” says Bryan Joslin, Eastwood’s community content manager and this year’s show organizer. “But we’d also like to acknowledge the fact that car culture is always evolving. So this year we’re dedicating some space to showcase what the next generation of enthusiasts are doing with their vehicles.”

He further explains, “Last year we had some really cool, non-traditional cars that kind of got lost in the crowd. This year we’re making sure those folks have a better chance of hanging out with other like-minded enthusiasts. Community is everything. Everyone has their own tribe, and we’d like to make sure we give them all their proper attention.”

The Eastwood Summer Classic 2024 will be a rain-or-shine event, so mark your calendars now and plan to attend. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
